Here
it comes a partial translation of the very first post on the blog,
written in February 2012, where I explain why the name of the blog is
"the fabecook".
It is partial because I added some explanations of what happened after that and because I had deliberately removed some parts (they were not useful to the post itself):
It is partial because I added some explanations of what happened after that and because I had deliberately removed some parts (they were not useful to the post itself):
Dysgraphia is an alteration in spelling words, whereas metathesis is a phonetic change where the order of two letters is reversed. Choose the one that you prefer and that will be the explanation of the creative process that led to the word "Fabecook".
It was 2011, an October evening like every other October evenings and I was chatting on Skype when suddenly this typo happened and I shouted "hey, it would make a very cool name for a blog about cooking.". It took me a few months before plunging into the adventure, a bit because I am a "computer goat" (I have no idea about to fix blogs, html, colours codes and so on), a bit because I was hoping to find a job to keep my mind busy (little did I knew that few months after I started writing, I would have left Italy for good).
Waiting to find what I was looking for, I was constantly searching for recipies, cooking, failing to cook (but I never poisoned my family nor my friends).
A
lot of things have changed since that February, mostly I'd say that I
can take better pictures of the dishes and I get some really useful help
by the applications that can manipulate photos and that are not so hard
to use. One thing has not changed at all: I am a still incapable of
getting used to new technology.
